Big Sun

It's hot as hell in Texas, and I'm standing in a line

Talkin bout the weather   a voice comes from behind

 “I been watchin TV every evenin' and I figger

We all gonna die cause the (stop time) sun's gettin' bigger”

Listen to me man , let me tell you what I think     

The sun keeps gettin' bigger and your brain begins to shrink

The planets come together and your marriage falls apart 

Expanding stars and isobars are flying off the chart 

We pokin' all new ozone holes in a radiation belt- We got

People stuck out on the street, cause rubber shoes will melt

The groundhog got no shadow cause the sun fills up the sky

We stuck in daylight savings time and nobody knows why.

Don't listen to the people say it's gonna be OK;

All that Coppertone ain't workin  cause the sun's gettin' bigger every day

You can visit the Titanic right there on the ocean floor

And the nightclubs are all closin' cause it don't get dark no more.

Your head is getting shiny cause it's burnin' off your hair

And the jock itch drive you crazy if you ain't already there.

Ray-Ban's buyin Microsoft, Umbrellas  are the rage

And at the zoo the polar bears are dyin' in their cage

The chicken eggs all fry themselves as soon as they are laid,

The homeless folks explodin' if they come out of the shade.

There's boiling lakes in Kansas and there's no more Tampa Bay;

They're surfin' in Alaska  cause the sun's getting bigger every day.

The middle east is peaceful cause the fightin's in a lull;

The tanning beds are empty and the hospitals are full.

You can mail order an iceberg cause it fits inside a box

There ain't no more polar ice cap, no more vernal equinox

It's just a matter of time until there's nothin left to say

And there ain't no one to say it cause the sun's gettin bigger every day.
